  1. Oluroko, is the head of erunmu chiefs, His office is profiles as the oba of erunmu kingdom and he is responsible to olowu in all matters regarding the erunmu coverage of the larger Owu kingdom of Abeokuta, Ogun state.
The last Oluroko was chief Olugbolahan Ijaola who died in the year 2017, snd the office has since then remain vacant until the 20th March 2021 when the new Oluroko was elected from the lineage of Adeotan family, in the person on Abdul waheed Ayoade Omoteso Adeotan in Oluroko compound. Though, the Coronation and installation processes are still ongoing and he nay be fully installed by September 2021.

    • The Oluroko Erunmu is also known as the Balogun Erunmu-Owu. He is in the person of Major General Ekundayo Opaleye (rtd). He is a member of the 8 man Olowu-in-council also known as the Cabinet of the Olowu. His function is that of a Balogun, period. However, this particular Oluroko is a hyper-active one. He is the appendage of the Olowu for action and active service…as he organizes most of the major public functions of the Kingdom, including the Odun Omo Olowu/ Owu Day, Owu Development Consultative Forum (DCF) etc etc.

  3. this is a very interesting and educative. i love the concept. can you post a profile on Prince Bola Ajibola who is the Olori omo oba of Owu Kingdom and was a world judge at the hague after his tenure as the President of the Nigerian Bar Association, and later Minister of Justice. I think i’d like to have more of his profile.

I wasn’t aware of this page until today. Its very refreshing to know that these information is online and available to all to view. Most impressed and looking forward to more information. Owu people are proud of you and your efforts towards providing more briefs like this. Keep the flag flying.

    • Thanks Esolabi for your kind words.
Fueled by your kind of encouragement and prudent manipulation of the free time i have available, i am in the process of building a bigger and better site(s) to compliment this one – Owulakoda.com , and Apomu.com .
Our culture MUST be propagated at all cost…and what better way than to ride on the Information highway which is extremely expansive, widespread and penetrating.
i however need the likes of you to provide information and knowledge. Post anything relevant that meets the guidelines and spread the tidings to friends and foes
      alike.
The new Owulakoda.com shall have a forum/social networking(perhaps Facebook-like)section where all comments including the ones on this blogsite (owulakoda.wordpress.com)shall be featured. Stay with us!
